About the author

HI! I'm Rachel Devenish Ford.

I'm a writer and an artist making kind and sensory-rich worlds filled with complex characters and creatures. I love making things. 

I'm originally from Canada, and I've been married to my musician husband since 2001. We have five incredible kids and I wrote the World Whisperer series for them. 

I write poetry, fiction, and non-fiction, make art, garden and teach people about creativity and literature. I have been working in community spaces for most of my life now, and currently I live with my family in Thailand, helping to facilitate a Christ-centered community space called Shekina Garden.
